Pagico 5.1 for PPC Macs coming soon

Greetings all! As you know, we released Pagico v5.1 a couple of days ago, and generally we’ve been pleased with this release.

However, there is one issue that popped up a few days after the release. As reported by a couple of our users, Pagico v5.1 will not run on PPC Macs, 10.4 or 10.5. After investigating on the issue, we realized that it’s the development environment (Xcode 4) that was causing the issue. Apparently Apple is trying to move away from PPC Macs, and they completely removed the PPC SDK (for 10.5) from the development environment. As a result, we just can’t build programs for PPC Macs any more, unless we roll our dev machines back to older versions of software.

Anyways, I just wanted to bring this up to you so that you know about it. For those of you who are still on PPC Macs, please stay with Pagico v5.0 for a while. If you’ve already upgraded, here are the v5.0 links for you to roll back:

  • Pagico (Professional) Edition v5.0 r1176 Download
  • Pagico (Planner) Edition v5.0 r1175 Download
  • Pagico (People) Edition v5.0 r1175 Download

At this moment, we’re working to bring you a PPC-compatible version as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
